We did not inquire about the price of getting our name in the hall of fame, which at Wisley takes the form of having your name engraved on a slab of glass, stood up in an alley near the big greenhouse.
One can see why they do it, but I think the National Theatre had a better idea with their wall of fame. I also thought about more virtual options, with names written very small and very high, only to be inspected by a roving camera (connected to a display screen) which you could control after inserting more money, rather like one of those telescopes you get at the seaside. Something to amuse the children.
