Eggs

Somewhere along the way we came across what looked like genuinely old egg boxes, the like of which I do not recall seeing before. Did grocers buy the boxes empty and make up the interiors themselves?

The heritage case underneath looked like a replica. Where on earth do the National Trust go to buy trinkets of this sort?

The people noticed at reference 1? They would certainly be the sort of people from whom they stocked up their shop - although the Trust would be a big enough customer to be able to insist that the delivery lorry was discrete, not done up in the wholesaler's livery. Ashburton independents just have to put up with it.
