Frankfort

This morning, my attention was drawn to a grandly named outfit, the Pain Management Institute, in a place called Frankfort. On closer inspection this turns out to a place on the south western fringes of Chicago.

Where I was amused by the density of the dental offering, in particular the operation called 'Treasured Smile Dentistry'. Only in the US of A.

Reference 1: http://www.pain-institute.com/. No idea where in the NHS one would go for this sort of thing, presumably on referral from one's GP. Or, indeed, whether we have many people who specialise in pain management at all. On the basis of a sample of one, of the husband of the sales executive with a fancy (second growth shingled) house near Seattle which I once visited, who was an anaesthetist who specialised in pain management, perhaps such people are thicker on the ground over there.
