Useful cable

A useful length of cable recovered from behind a box like this one in Manor Green Road. A cable in two parts, with the thin part containing what looks like a twisted pair and the fat part a thick strand of copper in some braided white insulation. I dare say dear enough to buy retail and it may serve me as a washing line or something. Now hanging up in the roof.

This box, swinging open, at the junction of Chertsey Lane and Ethel Bailey Close. Lots of exposed wire which would very easy to damage, even without tools. But no labels suggesting to whom one might report the swinging - so I have tried the BT Openreach email contact address and now await developments.

Then a bit further on, a first. A council lady cleaning a litter bin in Southfield Park. She seemed pleased to be congratulated on her activity.
