Bunting

Birthday celebrations in the road being over, it seemed right to remove the bunting from the front of the house, but as it was damp we re-erected it at the back of the house. Perhaps it will serve for the next family gathering.

In the meantime another opportunity to practise my bowlines & reef knots and to exercise the spike on the army style pen knife, not quite visible top right at reference 1. Better at opening knots in plastic tape than one might think.

The plastic bunting was probably cheaper and certainly a lot less bother than the real thing, which on a previous occasion involved hemming up triangles of red, white and blue cloth. The only thing wrong with the plastic is a tendency to roll up.
