Trolley 163

Captured at the entrance to the UCA students' residence in East Street, until recently a fine source of trolleys. Also known as Crossways House.

The black being the hoarding around the office block next door which looks as if it is coming down - rather than the refurbishment or makeover that I had expected. Lots of glass and red brick outside, lots of yellow painted structural steel girders inside. Not clear from the pavement whether they are just smashing the steel out, or whether they have to cut it out. Not sure that I would want to be anywhere near a few hundred kilograms  - perhaps a few thousand kilograms - of steel girder as it was cut loose from what was left of the building.

Did the developer get his money back in its fifty year life?

Getting to Sainsbury's in a steady, soft drizzle, found the car park littered with trolleys of all sizes and not a trolley jockey to be seen. Maybe they were having a protest meeting about the lack of proper wet weather facilities. First time I recall seeing the car park in such a state.
