Advancing triffid

Following the flowering reported at reference 1 and the mending reported at reference 2, it was clearly time this morning to take a picture of the lengthening flower shoot, now much more clearly visible above the leaves.

For some reason best known to herself, Cortana did not like the morning light (this particular window faces the rising sun) and elected to use the flash. And for some other reason, she even elected to use the flash when I touched the image of the flower bud to tell her that that was the subject of the picture.

With some trick of the resulting lighting resulting in the odd leaf above the flower bud being shadowed in brown, a colour that shadows never are in real life, at least not in my experience.

And with the good news being that the pictures arrived on OneNote within seconds, perhaps more a tribute to BT's home internet, perhaps not for nothing called BT infinity, rather than to anything that Microsoft might have done.
