Justice

The President of the Philippines has attracted comment for his aggressive stance on the management of crime, in particular drug crime, with some commentators alleging that this stance extends to extrajudicial killings, a popular euphemism in the press for the murdering of undesirables, for vigilante justice.

I hope that the police up north will have no trouble explaining why their recent shooting on the M62 of someone who appears to have been a career criminal was not in the same league. I have yet to see any signs of the criminal in question having been told to surrender or any explanation of why this was not possible.
