The dough for the 419th batch of bread, more or less at the end of the first knead. Weighed in at 5lbs 7oz and now on first rise in the airing cupboard, with at least another three hours to go.

Snap, under a west facing window on a dull morning, does not have much life in it. Maybe the telephone would have done a better job in brighter light. Maybe it would have done better if flash had not been turned off - this last probably a relic of being somewhere where flashing is not encouraged.
