The water works last noticed at reference 1 have not yet finished.

In the course of (Thames Water) pumping water out of the stream down Longmead Road and spraying it back in again, all in the cause of water aeration, rather too much of it soaked into the bank of the stream which has now collapsed. Despite temporary repairs there were ominous cracks in the adjacent asphalt path this morning. Will the whole path go the way of the bank?

I don't think that the pale object snagged on the black boom bags is animate, despite its slug like appearance in this snap.

PS: nothing to do with the recent rain, which did not start until after the event.
