Off to a bad start yesterday, with solid intake up to around 1600 consisting of two pork pies, three chocolate digestive biscuits and a bacon sandwich.
However, I was rewarded by my first sighting of a chaffinch for some time with that at reference 1 not really counting at all and that at reference 2 better, but still a long way from Epsom. Perhaps this chaffinch liked the woods across the road - that is to say the Kingston Road in Ewell, bordering a stretch of the Hogsmill.
Proper diet resumed later in the day with left-over mince converted to a Shepherd's Pie and served with boiled white cabbage.
