Little brown men

Little brown men have appeared on some of the oak trees in the picnic area in Firestone Copse, south of Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight.

A sort of rustic, island version of the sort of thing to be found on the mainland, particularly in the roof bosses of the aisles of Ely Cathedral. See references 1 and 2.
