From the interior of the 'Dome' of the previous post. Just about legible if you click to enlarge, and certainly legible when I click to enlarge the original.

A rather quaint document concerning the afternoon preaching to be done by a new canon. With lots of use, in an antique sense, of the verb 'protest'. In the margins, I learn that in the olden days, some of the canons of the cathedral were onto a very good thing with very fine emoluments & perquisites and very light duties. Very rotten borough, very Barchester.
