Ashburton treat

Made it to Ella's on Tuesday morning to collect the breakfast bread. An important treat of life in Ashburton when one is staying near enough to nip over before breakfast.

Soft white bread, just the thing for bread and butter. Or, for the more ambitious, ham sandwiches or even bacon sandwiches. Both sorts of sandwich requiring just this sort of bread for the best results.

Soft white bread which seems to be unobtainable in the eateries hereabouts. Not that I suppose that Ella herself, a one baker, one room operation, would want to get involved with large orders for cafés and restaurants.

Nevertheless, one might suppose that, given the number of eateries and the amount of prime time on television given over to bake-offs, there would be room for a decent, middle sized factory bakery. Perhaps what Ella needs is a white knight with some money to take her to the next level. But would she want that either?
