The end of a fine afternoon, taken with tea on the bench on the northern side of the triple pond. Shady, warm and comfortable.
The apple tree, in the middle of the snap, over the fence, is probably a hundred years or more old, a relic of what the land was used for before it was sold for housing around the time of the first world war. A tree from which we have had many apples - fine big Bramleys - over the years, with there being far too many for the average family on a good year.
