Trolley 131

First spotted early yesterday evening, outside Epsom Station. None of the Waitrose team members arriving at the station for their shift this morning saw fit to take it in, so it was still there when I arrived around 1040. Their loss was my gain.

After dropping it off, I was refreshed by a spot of democracy at work. That is to say a chap in a smart grey Maserati driving from one end of the High Street to the other, had the misfortune to be stopped at every light and I got to the other end on foot before he did on wheels. He might be a member of the elite, maybe even the sporting elite, but he still has to wait at the lights with the rest of us.

His car made an interesting noise, and I wondered, not for the first time, whether the interesting noise had been devised by the marketing people rather than there being any engineering reason for it.

It seems that prices start at around £50,000 (if you don't mind a diesel), so perhaps not so elite after all, as you can spend more than that on a common or garden Range Rover.
