Ashburton, as well as butchers and bakers, contains a large number of gift shops, fancy goods shops and the like. All terribly tasteful, not like Dawlish Warren at all.
But it seems that some of them at least are cutting corners, taking their stuff from the large lorry illustrated. And it obviously makes sense for him to do a number of these shops at the same time, while he is in town. Hopefully he will go round the A38 to get to Plymouth, which might well be his next stop, rather than trying to make it across the narrow roads of the moors in the winter gloaming.
We wondered whether the lorry operated out of some warehouse in Newton Abbot, with the warehouse stuffed by containers from China. Much cheaper than home made.
However, a peek at the web site at reference 1, suggests that we had not got this quite right: 'a visit to our 25,000 square feet dedicated themed showroom in Altham, Lancashire in order to view 14,000 product lines sourced globally is an absolute must.
