Trolley 58b

Coming back with a first trolley (that noticed at reference 1), I collected a second trolley in the alley leading to the back of Sainsbury's. I was surprised to find how hard it was to wheel the two trolleys, nested, up the path, slightly uphill and a lot more bumpy than it looked.

Also surprised to find that the bank across the alley from the Sainsbury's shed was pretty clear of litter. Not completely clear, but pretty clear. Someone had clearly been sent out to litter pick it not many days before; a great improvement on what one sometimes finds there. See reference 1 - which I did not find the time to follow up at the time. And, to be fair to Sainbury's, I imagine they had other things on their mind.

The place concerned can be clearly seen at gmaps 51.341949, -0.256726. I dare say one could see a speckle of litter at full zoom in earth view, were it not for the canopies of the trees blocking the view.

PS: presumably Sainsbury's have some kind of fairly serious safe deep in the bowels to take all their Christmas takings - with enough of them being in cash to worry about - now that banks don't seem to have night safes any more. Any anyway, the night safe chutes might not be able to cope with the sort of cash that a place like this generates. And how would the store cashier drop the sack down the chute without developing a habit and without drawing attention to himself? Safe much better all round.
