Colour

A lot of colour in the garden just presently, colour, that is, apart from green. Quite a lot of it yellow, including this patch on the infertile slope running up from the back patio to natural ground level. Which along with the euonymus, just visible top left, is one of the few things which will grow there. The juniper left also seems to be doing OK, apart that is from the damage done by foxes feeling the need to mark their territory.

The Peace roses at the back of the garden, mainly yellow but tinged with pink, also doing very well, but did not photograph very well, with the depth of focus just not there on the telephone. Google does much better. See reference 1.

PS: we don't get any berries on the juniper, so we abstain from the manufacture of gin. Maybe that will come in years to come, as it grows and matures.
