The restored sword

I could not find a reflection-free position, but one can still get a pretty good impression of the sword.

Looks heavy on the wrist to me, one would need some training, but also properly balanced, a sword which could actually be used, rather than just shown off. Would it have been any match for a rapier if used on foot?
