Tusk's baby

Intrigued by this smart looking car, parked in a street near the Royal Institution yesterday evening. I did walk around to the back to decipher its name, but had forgotten it before thinking to write it down. Beyond being fairly sure that it started with a 'T'. So this afternoon, I ask Google image search, which seems fairly confident that it is Tesla Model S. And to my untutored eye it does indeed look rather like the car featured at reference 1. Which could be mine for a modest £63,600.

Altogether, a rather flashy website, just the thing for luxury goods for rich people and wannabees.

So maybe Mr. Tusk, as well as having a big mouth, knows where to hire good car stylists. He is also, it seems the recipient of the Oslo 'Business for Peace' award and was elected to our own Royal Society earlier this year. Maybe one day I will check how many other birds of his sort make it into the hallowed halls of Carlton House Terrace - very near, as it happens, the dog's grave noticed at references 2 and 3. While I remember fellow pupils of my secondary school, the ones' whose fathers were university lecturers who had not been so elected, being very blasé about the FRS handle. Not what it used to be at all, no longer a mandatory requirement for advancement.

PS: failing the Tesla, there was a shop in the vicinity offering rather larger Aston Martins. Much larger than the one that lives in a garage a few door from ourselves here in Epsom. That I have never seen on the road.
