Brown wood rules!

The ash tray manqué back in business again. Despite rumours to the contrary, brown wood furniture is still alive and well.

One of the two versions of the picture behind it hangs in the Fitzwilliam Museum of Cambridge, while the drape over the back of the chair to the right was sourced at the multi-cultural market at Elephant and Castle, and which serves to drape aging feet and keep them warm on cold winter evenings. An intricate bit of weaving and a market last visited in May, a visit noticed at reference 1.

PS: oddly, bing is very keen to tell me about people who will sell me copies of this painting, but not keen at all to tell me where the originals live - although I have managed to confirm that there is one at the Fitzwilliam. Google not much better.
