Castings

The cover left was spotted recently in a back street in Littlehampton, catching my eye because it was embossed with the mark of Woodrow of Farringdon Road, not now a road where one would expect to come across an iron foundry, although there was a brass foundry in Whitechapel until quite recently. Did Woodrow get the things made up somewhere up north for sale in London?

I ask google and he turns up reference 1, which suggests that Woodrow did indeed make the things up in London, but at some point moved to Kent where they were still up and running, certainly into the 1970s. See reference 1.

The person responsible for reference 1 is clearly a fellow collector of oddities. Does he (unlikely, I think, to be a she, although I have not checked) collect trolleys?
