Clock

One of the clocks mentioned in the last post. Possibly the one on the Balham tube southbound platform. Provenance clearly visible if you click to enlarge.

The fact that, even before the first war, when this platform was first fitted out, we were importing platform clocks from the US, was a clearly a sign that our industrial domination of the world was coming to an end. Perhaps if I look a bit harder, I will find some platform clocks from Germany, also up and coming at that time.
