A snap from an aerial view now offered in beta by the Ordnance Survey 'Maps Online' service, advertised to me as one of their premium customers, by email. I have yet to properly get the hang of it, but this view of Snowdon or thereabouts does look rather nifty, even if you can see the edges where things have been pasted together.
Presumably leveraging their detailed knowledge of the topography, presumably not readily available to either google maps or to bing maps. Although this last does seem to be able to pipe you straight into the ordinary version of Ordnance Survey maps, using the map type button on the top right of their screen of the PC version, if not on the telephone version, at least not on mine. Without charge. So I don't know how that works.
