Alive and well

Regular readers will no doubt be pleased to learn that the Dalkey Archive and its press (see, for example, reference 1) are alive and well, running to a half page advertisement in this week's TLS. Sourced from, of all places, the newspaper shop in the southbound Fleet services on the M3. Perhaps there is a better class of customer than at first appears.

They will be publishing four or five books a month through the first half of 2018. The authors of at least three of these books appear to hail from the Emerald Isle and the title of one includes James Joyce, as befits a press named for the Southend of Dublin. As it were.

Also known, as it happens, as the site of the prototype of Brunel's atmospheric railway on the Exe estuary. See reference 3.
