There has been a modest leak into Chessington Road, near its junction with Longmead Road for some days now, and I had been interested to see how quickly a green algal bloom had developed around the edges of the consequent damp patch on the pavement.
Today there were two water board vans in attendance, one fifty yards behind the camera, one a hundred yards up Longmead Road, to the left. Were they were there because the leak had suddenly got worse or had the leak suddenly got worse because they were there?
Sufficient power that the water welling up inside the green barrier appeared to be several inches above that in the road adjacent.
PS: the water board vans did not say anything so simple as 'Thames Water' on the side, but I forget what exactly they did say.
