Probably one more sign of the creeping privatisation which is rolling over our once proud, public education service.
In the olden days, run of the mill primary schools were content to have just the one head teacher. With this one now quite possibly run by some commercial schools operator, they seem to need two and they choose make a parade of all this extra money getting thrown at management types.
Although to be fair, having chucked the education authorities down the drain, most of the stuff those authorities used to do does still need to be done. Perhaps the head teacher in charge of teaching at this particular school does not want to spend her day worrying about fixing the drains and the roofs, important though that might be. Not to mention the commercial lets which now adorn the weekends.
