There was a large version of this snap decorating a story about homelessness in yesterday's Guardian, with this small version lifted from their website.

While not doubting that homelessness is on the up while the resources to deal with it are on the down, I was not convinced that the Guardian photographer - Jill Mead - had not been taken in. Or worse, she was taking us in. This chap looks terribly neat and tidy to be a homeless drug addict with mental health issues on the streets of central London. More like he was some kind of psychiatric researcher who, wanting to do a bit of fieldwork, had popped into Cotswold's to buy himself a smart new homeless rig-out.
