The ITV3 schedule was a bit thin on Thursday, so moved to have another go at the Guardian sudoku puzzle - having had, as it happens, a first go at same for some time at the beginning of the month. See reference 1.
Due to some quirk of circumstance, I seemed to finish this one in about the same time as I had taken to fail to finish the other, this despite this one being rated 'hard' to the other's 'medium'.
The crumbs from what will probably be the last rock cake of the season can be seen left. One of two which had been bought earlier in the day from the beach café at Yaverland. Where we had been entertained at our tea by a young gentlemen scrubbing some of the floor tiles in a very thorough way. Not something that I have done since I was a child, when our floors - thermoplastic tiles - were scrubbed from time to time, at a time when it was hard to get help to do it for you. At least for the sort of money that we were prepared to pay. And not something I am ever likely to do again.
