Another Sainsbury's trolley, wheel lock not deployed, first spotting while returning trolley 98, on the Sainsbury's side of the tunnel under the railway line by Screwfix.
Not being the same size as trolley 98, it was not practical to take both at once, so I returned for it a little later.
On the way passing two cars which had been clamped by the DVLA on account of no road tax having been paid. The area must be as good a hunting ground for the bounty hunters from DVLA as it is for trolley hunters.
I say bounty hunters, as I assume, these days, that hunting down cars which have not paid their road tax has been contracted out, with the contractors getting paid so much for every car that they clamp. With the control feature of serious penalty for clamping the wrong car. The bounty hunters presumably get to know their area and get to know which streets are going to be worth their while.
I wondered whether it was so computerised that they just have to drive around in their van, with the camera poking out of the roof and the computer in the back doing the rest? Or do they actually have to go to all the bother of pointing the camera at license plates? Does the computer suggest good roads to check?
