Autumn visit and tweet

If you click to enlarge, you might agree that the white speck in the middle of this snap is a white egret, walking south at roughly the same speed as I was. Get any nearer and it got its wings out.

Maybe bigger than a pigeon but smaller than a duck. So maybe a lesser rather than a greater egret.

The first of the autumn for Longmead Road. Last sighting, December last year, noticed at reference 1.
