New view

At the now rather open plan Tottenham Road Corner, we noticed a small shiny dome, which I did not remember, but which has presumably been there for longer than I have been around.

Something else to check up on and this morning it is the first hit that bing returns for 'brass dome tottenham court road'. Grade II listed building, about 120 years old.

We also noticed that the public house which used to be called the 'Tottenham', was now called the 'Flying Horse', a little to the right of the rightmost bus. I used to rather like the atmosphere in the place, and the rather florid paintings on the ceiling, but we passed on this occasion. The place gets a mention at reference 1, but I failed to find any notice of an actual visit.

PS: relative second left.
