Second communion

Back home from London town earlier this evening, I thought it time to try the white pudding noticed at reference 1. As usual, from Slomers, the pudding people from Belvedere in Kent. That is to say, from estuary people, the sort of people you might expect to be good at sausages, puddings and pies.

In the interests of health, fried in rape oil rather than beef oil or pork oil, and taken with the brown bread of yesterday's baking, which was still reasonably fresh.

PS: and for the avoidance of doubt, we do have some pork oil, that is to say lard, in the refrigerator. It was not force majeure, there was choice.
